The Springbrook Foundation to Host 4th Annual Charity Concert in Manhattan

Enjoy An Evening of Music at The Morgan Library & Museum – Dec 19 at 6:30pm – in support of the Springbrook Foundation, aiding people with developmental disabilities across New York states

This year’s Springbrook Foundation Annual Charity Concert will feature performances from world-renowned musicians Carmit Zori, Robert Rinehart, and Max Zeugner and will include performances of the Three Madrigals for Violin and Viola by Bohuslav Martinů and Trio Sonata for organ No. 5 in C Major, BWZ 529 (BC J5) by Johann Sebastian Bach.

An Evening of Music at The Morgan Library & Museum is once again organized by musicians Zori and Rinehart, whose son Daniel is a resident of one of Springbrook’s Community Homes and a graduate of Springbrook’s Tom Golisano Center for Autism. The concert was conceptualized by the couple as their way of giving back to Springbrook while raising awareness about the organization’s services for individuals living with autism and other developmental disabilities.

“Springbrook is a beautiful environment for our son Danny. The employees and administrators are dreamers with hearts of gold. They foster a safe, loving place for people with developmental disabilities, and every day they fill it with generosity and patience. What a priceless gift for our family, and what a debt of gratitude we owe! This concert is our way of thanking Springbrook for the love, the care, and the home they have given our son,” Zori and Rinehart shared.

Zori is a violinist who regularly appears as a soloist and chamber musician around the world and currently serves on the faculties of Rutgers University and SUNY Purchase. Rinehart is also a violist and member of the New York Philharmonic, co-founder of the Ridge String Quartet, and a faculty member of the Manhattan School of Music.

Joining them on stage will be bassist Max Zeugner, Associate Principal Bass with the New York Philharmonic. Zeugner is the Herbert M. Citrin Chair of the New York Philharmonic and is a founding member of the Worcester Chamber Music Society. Zeugner also works as a music educator at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music.

“Through the generosity of our donors and attendees, we work to enable Springbrook not just to meet, but to exceed the expectations of each person supported by their wide range of services and programs,” said Stacey Grady, The Springbrook Foundation’s Director of Development. “We greatly appreciate Carmit, Robert, and Mr. Zeugner for sharing their musical talents and volunteering their time to contribute to Springbrook’s mission in such a profound way. We’re looking forward to a spectacular evening.”

The Springbrook Foundation is always looking for partners to enhance its high-quality programs, build capacity, seize opportunities, and ensure the long-term success of the organization, which has become a leader in providing support and services for people with developmental disabilities—today supporting over 1,200 people and families across New York State.

An Evening of Music will begin with cocktails and hors-d’oeuvres, followed by a chamber music concert, and a dinner reception after the performance. All proceeds from the event will benefit The Springbrook Foundation and its work.

The deadline to RSVP is Tuesday, December 17, 2019. Each ticket purchased will be a tax-deductible donation to The Springbrook Foundation.
