Chief Nurse announcement | Bolton NHS FT
We’re thrilled to announce that following a very competitive recruitment process, Tyrone Roberts will join the Board of Directors at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust as Chief Nurse in the spring.
Tyrone has over 20 years experience working within the NHS, and will join Bolton from his position as Director of Nursing and Chief Officer at Bury Care Organisation, part of the Northern Care Alliance Group.
He has a wealth of experience of providing professional and clinical leadership to nurses, midwives and allied health professionals working in large, integrated health care organisations, and prides himself on the pursuit of high-quality outcomes for patients.
Fiona Noden, Chief Executive at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust said:
“I’m delighted that Tyrone will be joining us in Team Bolton, he will be a very welcome addition to our Executive Board and one who I know will fit in very well with our values and ambitions for our organisation.
“His reputation for great leadership, excellent patient care and a focus on staff and patient engagement preceded him, and I am looking forward to working very closely with him.”
Tyrone said: “From David on reception who I met on my first informal visit, to the community team I met at Waters Meeting Health Centre, to the numerous people I’ve met across the organisation – I’ve been bowled away by ‘Team Bolton’. I am delighted to be joining as their Chief Nurse.
“I’m looking forward to working with the team to continue to deliver outstanding patient care, experience and outcomes for our patients and service users, and our colleagues and partners in the Bolton locality.”
The Trust’s current Chief Nurse, Karen Meadowcroft, retires in March, and it is expected that Tyrone will join the Trust some time later in the spring.
