CAFRE’s Courses Virtual Open Week

February 28, 2022

Join us on Discover CAFRE Facebook for the CAFRE’s Virtual Open Week from Monday 7th to Thursday 10th March 2022.

Who we are

The College of Agriculture Food and Rural Enterprise (CAFRE) is the only College in the island of Ireland that offers agri-food courses from Certificates to Honours Degrees. We have courses in Agriculture, Food, Equine and Horticulture as well Land-based Engineering, Floristry and Veterinary Nursing. Courses are delivered in one of the three CAFRE campuses. CAFRE attracts students from all over the United Kingdom, Ireland, and further afield.

What we offer

CAFRE students fully embrace CAFRE’s ethos of ‘learning by doing’. They are able to put into practice what they are taught in the classroom in the superb, practical facilities. These demonstrate the latest science, technology, innovation and business management techniques needed for a successful career in the agri-food industry.

Benefits to our students

Students have the security of knowing that industry linkages are established early in a student’s journey at CAFRE. Over £60,000 in bursaries are available to first year degree students to apply for. Industry visits and work placements are an integral part of all programmes which can be in Ireland, the UK or further afield.

Most CAFRE graduates progress on to successful, fulfilling careers in the agri-food Industry. The results speak for themselves – over 95% of graduates gain employment or progress on to higher education within six months of completing their course. Additionally 91% of students would recommend their course to others.

So please join us at our virtual events to hear from staff, current students and graduate experiences. See around the world class facilities that support the delivery of our courses.
