Team BTC Results Round Up

Men’s 3 Football

Weymouth College 1-4 Team BTC

Team BTC Men’s 3 travelled away to a very wet Weymouth for their next league challenge. Team BTC started well despite the near waterlogged pitch making it difficult to make any type of pass. They dealt with this well and, despite Weymouth battling hard in very tough conditions, Team BTC still managed to play some great football, and took home the 4-1 victory.

Netball

Richard Huish College 41-38 Team BTC

In the first half, the team started slow against Richard Huish. Despite getting many turnovers, they struggled to score off them. Some really good play from Fiona Willmont (WD) gave Team BTC some confidence, finishing the first half 13-22 to Huish.

The second half had some great defence from Alicia Clapp (GK) and great marking from Alex Davey (GD), and finally started to convert our turnovers into goals. Alicia Clapp now being in the shooting circle allowed some great movement for Hollie Davies (C) and Grace Rennie (WA) to feed critical balls into. Despite Team BTC gaining turnovers, Huish attack were consistent in their scoring and kept the lead, which ended the tight battle 41-38 in favour of Richard Huish.

Player of the Match went to Alicia Clapp, voted for by Richard Huish for her work in the circle scoring some critical goals.

Men’s Rugby

Team BTC 5-0 SGS

Team BTC faced SGS Filton in wet, muddy conditions at Bridgwater & Albion RFC. Both teams showed tremendous character and battled hard as Team BTC ground out a 5–0 victory, with the only try scored by Reece Hollingsworth. The whole team can be very proud of their efforts, with captain Liam Dray and number 8 Dan Butt in particular, at the front of everything that was good about the performance.
