Find out more about Adult Skills and Community Learning at their open day
Adult Skills and Community Learning service are hosting an open day for anyone thinking about returning to learning on Wednesday 6 April. There is no need to book ahead, everyone is welcome to come along to level 2 of Wellington House on Market Street at any time from 10 am to 4pm.
The day will provide the chance to see where lessons take place and soak in the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere we aim to create. You will also be able to ask questions about the courses on offer. Our Information, Advice and Guidance team will be on hand to help you explore opportunities to learn and develop skills, grow your talents and improve your wellbeing or employability. We have a range of courses available including:
- English for speakers of other languages (ESOL)
- IT and digital skills
- Creative wellbeing
- Courses for adults with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
- Health and social care
- Positive thinking
- Working with children and families.
Information will also be available on support while you study, such as financial assistance for childcare or travel costs. Course discounts are available in some cases, so make sure to bring proof of benefits or low income to help speed up enrolment.
