Are you a bit of an entrepreneur? Or a new or prospective trader who needs some extra support or guidance? Do you have a hobby or bright idea that you think could be turned into a business?
On Saturday 2 December (Small Business Saturday), Boscombe Market is launching a new initiative to encourage new small start-up businesses, called ‘Saturday Start Ups’.
Saturday Start Ups will give entrepreneurs and prospective traders the opportunity to rent a market pitch for just £10 a day to sell any items, objects or special creations. This initiative offers a cheaper start-up cost plus targeted support and advice from Rod Wilson, Market Manager and the other regular traders on the market.
Councillor Jane Kelly, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Public Health, said: “Boscombe Market has always been innovative and this new scheme for budding traders is just an example of community support on offer here in Boscombe. We are always open to business ideas to add to our diverse area and we hope that ‘Saturday Start Ups’ will entice new traders and customers both locally and within the market. Shoppers will have the opportunity to discover exciting new products, taste wonderful treats and experience a specialist corner of the market.”
Prospective traders interested in finding out more about the opportunity can visit the ‘Want to Trade’ section at www.boscombemarket.co.uk.
Visitors to the market can keep up to date on Facebook: Boscombe Market and Twitter: @marketboscombe.
