It is National Customer Service Week!
Introduced by the Institute of Customer Service, an independent organisation the Council has just signed a five-year membership with, it is a week-long opportunity to raise awareness of customer service and the vital role it plays in successful business practice and the growth of the UK economy.
As an organisation, we are committed to delivering the best possible service for our residents, businesses and visitors.
We will be taking the opportunity to celebrate our hard-working staff, and will be taking part in a series of “themed” days across our channels throughout the week.
Monday – The Changing World of Work. We will be exploring how our various roles have changed to adapt to world around us and meet our customer’s expectations.
Tuesday – Service with Respect Day 💚 Our staff always aim to treat our customers with respect and dignity, and expect our customers to treat our staff the same.
Wednesday – Essential Customer Service Skills & Capabilities. On this day, our staff will be reflecting on their commitment to delivering the best possible customer service.
Thursday – Effective Strategy & Focused Leadership. We will be hearing from our Portfolio Holder, Cllr Lucy Shires, who will outline how as an organisation we are more dedicated and driven to deliver outstanding customer service than ever, and how we plan to achieve this with our new Customer Service Strategy.
Friday – Give your customer service heroes the recognition they deserve. We will be acknowledging the many wonderful members of staff who go above and beyond for their customers!
