Coventry residents got the chance to jump in the boxing ring with Olympic Gold medallist Galal Yafai MBE, as part of a jobs fair.
The event, organised by the Coventry Job Shop in partnership with the Department of Work and Pensions and the Commonwealth Games Organising Committee, gave around 600 attendees the opportunity to apply for Commonwealth Games jobs in areas such as stewarding, security and hospitality and find out about gaining qualifications in some of these areas.
Alongside boxing, visitors to the jobs recruitment event were able to have a go at wheelchair basketball and table tennis, whilst finding out about jobs.
The Coventry Job Shop will be organising a wide range of events over the summer to support Coventry residents into work in a variety of sectors, as well as continuing to provide person-centered one-to-one employment support, with access to hundreds of live vacancies and training opportunities.
To find out more, drop into the Job Shop in Bull Yard, email email@example.com or follow them on Facebook (Coventry City Council Job Shop), Twitter (@covjobsupport) or Instagram (coventryjobshop).
