Hospital Apologizes after Nurses Discuss Patient ‘Icks’ in TikTok Video

They mocked mothers’ choice of pain medication and their requests for blankets.
The video caused anger on social media. One TikTokComment by user: “My icky when people work in health care and don’t have compassion for others.”
Another commented, “As first-time mother, this makes it more sad and nerve-wracking.” I hope my nurses don’t act like this.
Emory Healthcare stated in a statement that it was aware of a TikTok clip that contained disrespectful and unprofessional comments regarding Emory University Hospital Midtown’s maternity patients. We have taken appropriate action with the former employees who were responsible for the video and have investigated the matter.”
