Hertz President’s Circle is a valuable rental car elite status that can really enhance your rental car experience.

This status has one major problem: What you have to do in order to attain it. One of the following must be done to achieve this status:

• Hertz allows you to rent 15 times per year
• Hertz allows you to spend $3,000 in a single year

If you’re anything but a road warrior who travels to work or is addicted, you won’t get President’s circle.

You may be eligible for top-tier status even if you have never been to Hertz. You can even leave the status to a family member or friend for 12 months with a new promotion.

We are focusing here on the benefits and perks that each card comes with. These cards are not worth the expense if you have to pay late fees or interest. It’s important that you pay your credit card balance in full each month. Also, make timely payments and only spend what is necessary.

Hertz President’s Circle members have the option to gift elite status for a short time to others

First things first — holders of either The Platinum Card® from American ExpressOder the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit CardYou are eligible to receive automatic Hertz President’s Circle elite status. Register and your Hertz status can be updated.

Hertz President’s circle is the highest level of elite status that you can attain with Hertz. It offers you many benefits, including:

• You can skip the counter and go straight to your car
• Don’t wait for the keys to be lost
• You will be upgraded to the next car class with a guaranteed upgrade (lesser statuses are not covered by this guarantee).
• You have a greater selection of cars to choose from than anyone else
• Free additional driver

Additionally, anyone with Hertz President’s Circle status — or the tier below, called Five Star status — can nominate one friend or family member to receive 12 months of their elite status level. They can use the status until December 31, 2023. The deal must be activated by December 31, 2022.

To activate this promotion, Hertz will send you an email containing the details. Click the link in the email to begin the status gifting process. Within three days, your friend’s status will be active.
