Cassidy Hutchinson was a former White House aide and provided key testimony to January 6 committee. She said that even her aunts and uncles, whom she hadn’t seen in many years, were willing to go to great lengths for her to stay out of the orbit former President Donald Trump.

Hutchinson stated that she told her mom she thought she was “fucked”, after she hired Stefan Passantino as her attorney. Hutchinson said that “once you’re lopped into” Trump world, “especially financial,” there is “no going back.”
Hutchinson recalled saying that Hutchinson said, “They will ruin my family’s life, Mom, if they want me to do anything that isn’t theirs,” at the time.
She stated that she was so scared and desperate to find legal representation that didn’t have any connections to Trump, she reached out to relatives she wasn’t close to.
Hutchinson testified that he was speaking with his aunt and uncle. They are QAnon supporters and had not spoken to me in years. However, they were looking to refinance their house to make it more affordable so they could not send me back to Trump world. Hutchinson also said that they understood why I didn’t want to.
Hutchinson stated that she visited her biological father, whom she doesn’t have a relationship with, and who is a “very large Trump supporter,” to seek assistance. She said that he didn’t get it.
Hutchinson stated Passantino in her testimony. pressured her to withhold informationFrom the committee, and that other Trump associates dangled the possibility for a job over her.
Passantino in a statement denied the allegations previously sent to Insider, and claimed that the committee didn’t contact him to “get the facts.”
Passantino said that Ms. Hutchinson was just like all of my clients in my 30 years as a lawyer. She represented her ethically, honorably, and in accordance with her interests as she shared them with me,” Passantino told Insider earlier in the week. “I believed Ms. Hutchinson was honest and cooperative with me throughout the interview sessions in the which I represented her.”
Hutchinson was eventually represented by Bill Jordan and Jody Hunt of Alston & Bird.
