The Mall of Louisiana in Baton Rouge was the first to open its doors to “Blue Zoo”, an aquarium constructed inside an abandoned Hollister.
According to a report, the 16,000-square foot space is home to wildlife such as jellyfish, sharks, seahorses and stingrays. The Advocate. Despite being transformed, the aquarium still retains some of the Hollister spirit, including the iconic entranceway.
“People in our generation aren’t interested a lot in stuff, they want experiences,” Wes Haws founder and CEO, Blue Zoo, told The Advocate.
