Kylian Mbappe: Saudi Arabia Reportedly Offers $1.1 Billion

Despite publicly declaring he wants stay in Paris for the upcoming 2023/24 season, Mbappé is said to be unhappy in the French capital.

PSG have given permission to Al Hilal to speak to Kylian Mbappé. Which obviously means that they have accepted this €300 million bid,” Sky Sports News’ Kaveh Solhekol said on-air Monday.

According to multiple reports in June, Mbappé informed PSG that he will not be exercising his third-year option in his contract, leaving the club with a decision to make – sell their star player this summer or let him walk for free in 2024.

The reported offer from Saudi Pro League team Al-Hilal to Paris Saint-Germain for superstar forward Kylian Mbappé took the sports world by storm Monday, with initial reports saying that Mbappé could be paid $776 million for just one year in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Hilal’s proposed deal includes a $332 million transfer fee paid to PSG and a $776 million salary paid to Mbappe for one season, reports James Benge of CBS Sports. The one-year contract would enable the 24-year-old Frenchman to play in Saudi Arabia before joining Real Madrid next summer, as he’s reportedly been interested in doing.

Antetokounmpo’s interest in soccer is well-documented. He’s an investor in the Nashville Major League Soccer franchise and he visited Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 when the Bucks played a game in Paris, getting an opportunity to meet Mbappé. Giannis, whose father Charles played soccer professionally in Nigeria, grew up with soccer dreams before basketball entered the picture.

Spanish giant Real Madrid has been heavily linked with Mbappé ever since almost signing the French international striker ahead of the 2022/23 season and is reportedly the Frenchman’s ideal landing spot if he were to leave Paris.

That package would include a net salary worth $221M per year, reaching the $774 million figure by including commercial deals and leaving Mbappé 100% of his image rights, according to soccer insider Fabrizio Romano.
