The EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation No. 1169/2011 requires food businesses to provide allergy information on food sold.
Since the launch of the regulation DDS International have been working hard to help food businesses comply with the requirements and are now delighted to advise you of three Industry leading developments that could significantly help you.
DDS is now Allergy UK’s official partner
DDS have been specially selected to partner with Allergy UK; the UKs leading Allergy Awareness Charity. This means that what we do, and the training we provide, is supported by our colleagues at Allergy UK ensuring the best possible advice and solutions for you. We can also support any food business, so sign up to and receive special Allergy UK certification as an allergy aware business, so that you can attract new clients!
Allergy UK Approved Training Courses
We are pleased to launch the following HABC Accredited Courses and have arranged two special “launch courses” at our training centre. Both courses will also be attended by Allergy UK representatives, so you will have the opportunity to discuss any issues or queries you may have with industry experts – and talk about the Allergy Aware scheme if it is of interest.

PYRAMID Industry Leading Allergen System
We have created a brand-new menu function on PYRAMID, that will enable you to:
– Create new menus, and highlight all allergens
– Provide you with a list of all dishes, and all allergens included within those dishes
– Search by allergen, so when a customer calls you can easily search for dishes wither with or without key allergens.
The system will go live very shortly, and full training will be given as part of either of the above training courses as well. There will also be a Food Manual update to tie in with the new system launch.
