HealthUnlocked appoints Joe McFadden as Chief Technical Officer

Joe McFadden Chief Technical Officer

HealthUnlocked.com, the world’s largest social network for health, announced the appointment of Joe McFadden in the newly created position of Chief Technical Officer.

McFadden, a strategically focused IT leader with 20 years of experience across multiple sectors, has a proven track record in strategy development, digital transformation, enterprise architecture and organisational change. He will be instrumental in leading the technical vision of the company.

Joe’s experience spans the creative industries, media and charity sectors and joins HealthUnlocked from the Royal Opera House, where he led the delivery of a major digital transformation to reach new audiences, improve the venue experience and drive increased income.

“I’m thrilled to join HealthUnlocked and be part of its mission to empower patients and improve global health,” said McFadden. “I’m particularly excited by the potential to scale and enhance HealthUnlocked’s unique HealthGraph Machine Learning Platform, so we can better understand people’s health needs, and grow our communities by providing ever more personalised health information.”

The appointment of CTO follows a series of important new hires in the last few months that will help drive the company forward and maintain its position as the digital disruptor in healthcare. Last month, the company also hired ex-PatientsLikeMe Innovation Director, Paul Wicks, PhD. to join HealthUnlocked as Chief Scientific Officer. They will be instrumental in developing and implementing a series of new initiatives and partnerships both in the US and the UK.
These key appointments are a direct reflection of the company’s growth as the demand for patient-empowered and personalised healthcare increases.

Jorge Armanet, Chief Executive Officer of HealthUnlocked, commented: “It has taken us almost 10 years to build the world’s largest patient network. We’re now embarking on a very exciting expansion phase in which I’m really pleased to join forces with Joe and Paul. Their vast experience and unique expertise will certainly help us to accelerate our ambitious growth plans to improve global health. ”

SocialBoz.Biz Announces ‘A SocialBox for Every IT Manager’ Campaign
New initiative designed to reduce waste, help the homeless, and help corporations

JUNE 21, 2019 – SocialBox.Biz has announced the launch of their “A SocialBox for Every IT Manager” campaign. Through this new initiative, IT managers are provided with SocialBoxes, which act as donation drop-off points where old tech can be left.

While many companies choose to recycle old and outdated tech, donation is a great way to help the local community and improve ESG profiles. Old laptops can easily be wiped clean of sensitive data either in-house or by SocialBox.Biz on-site. Then, open source software is uploaded by SocialBox.Biz.

The laptops are then donated for the homeless, thereby offering a way for them to connect with career and educational opportunities. For many people, laptops provided by SocialBox.Biz have already helped get them back on their feet.

For corporations, donating locally offers a number of benefits, including higher ESG scores and a lower carbon footprint, all while helping homeless people get back into society and back on their feet. Through “A SocialBox for Every IT Manager”, IT managers have an opportunity to help clients redirect their old tech to an exceptional cause.

IT managers interested in getting a SocialBox can reach out to SocialBox.Biz for more information. Details are available at home2
