IHEART LAUNCHES FREE VIRTUAL 2-DAY MENTAL HEALTH CONFERENCE: FIND EMOTIONAL FREEDOM IN LOCKDOWN


1st& 2nd April: London-based Mental Health Charity launch online event to help global community ‘Find Emotional Freedom in Lockdown’

April 2020 – London –As we head into the increasingly uncertain and unchartered waters of the covid-19 pandemic, London-based mental health charity IHEART (Innate Health Education and Resilience Training) launch is launching a FREE two-day virtual conference ‘Finding Emotional Freedom in Lockdown’.

Designed to help parents, families and educators, the IHEART faculty plus a range of inspirational guest speakers and subject matter experts (see attached for key speaker bios) will deliver a blend of uplifting presentations, interactive workshops and panel discussions covering subjects including:

• Helping your family deal with fear and stress
• Finding wellbeing in the face of deep loss and grief
• Getting along while living on top of each other
• Leaving school suddenly: helping our children navigate this new reality
• Overcoming loneliness whilst in isolation
• Keeping the kids sane during lockdown
• Security in the midst of financial insecurity
• Accessing your inbuilt compass to reconnect with your wellbeing
• Teaching our children about their innate resilience: a single global message for this time

“The purpose of this conference is to strengthen our own mental health; to find our emotional freedom whilst in lockdown; to uncover our own innate resilience and wellbeing. So that we may help and support others – especially our children and young people when they need it most,” explains IHEART CEO Brian Rubenstein. “This is why we decided – with a week’s preparation time – to host this virtual conference bringing together a range of outstanding speakers and mental health experts from around the world. Tia Kansara
Recognised by the Financial Times as one of 100 most influential tech leaders in the UK & Europe, Tia is the youngest person to receive the Royal Institute British Architects honorary fellowship. She is the CEO of Replenish Earth Ltd, a collective action to protect the global commons, holds a PhD on Sustainable Cities, and has worked with some of the world’s most prestigious companies and governments across 90 countries.

Dr Arthur Rubenstein
The Executive Vice President of the University of Pennsylvania for the Health System and Dean of its School of Medicine from 2001 to 2011, Arthur Rubenstein, MBBCh is Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology at the Raymond and Ruth Perelman School of Medicine at U Penn. Dr Rubenstein previously served as Dean of Mount Sinai School of Medicine and was Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. An internationally-renowned endocrinologist, recognised for ground-breaking research in diabetes and author of more than 350 publications, Dr Rubenstein is the recipient of many awards and prizes, including the highest honour of the Association of American Physicians, the George M. Kober Medal, and the highest honour from the Association of Professors of Medicine, the Robert H. Williams Distinguished Chair of Medicine Award.

Alysia Valoras
An engineer by training, Alysia has an incredibly poignant yet inspirational and necessary personal message to share about loss, grief and hope after losing her teenage daughter to suicide. Based in Boston USA, The Valoras family story has been the subject a CBS news feature which has guarded significant national attention. Interest in suicide prevention and mental health. Terry Rubenstein
The founder of IHEART and co-author of the IHEART Curriculum, Terry is widely recognised as a leading thinker, educator and speaker in the field of mental health and resilience. For almost 15 years she has taught and impacted countless people through her uplifting training seminars, writings and online talks and is the author of the ground-breaking book Exquisite Mind as well as The Peach Who Thought She Had to Be a Coconut, a series of essays on the power of thought and innate resilience. In her role as Head of Education at IHEART, Terry steers the educational direction and strategy of all programmes and courses that the organisation delivers
