Texas rapper BiNG drops new album ‘At It Again’

HOUSTON, TX – Joseph Guillory, AKA BiNG, is an artist with a truly original sound. Unlike anything else out there in the world of Hip Hop, his use of distorted instrumentals paired with rhythmic flows creates an intriguing sound that is causing new listers all over the South to sit up and pay attention. And now with his new album “At It Again,” this Texas-based musician is offering a compilation of his works in an effort to share that one-of-a-kind sound with a wider global audience.

Featuring all of his best music to date with a couple of radio-ready tracks, “At It Again” shows off BiNG’s ability to turn a phrase and have fun with witty wordplay. His style is in-your-face and aggressive with a sound to match, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t come across as offensive or off-putting. Quite the contrary, really, as this Down South boy is really just a normal guy on the microphone sharing stories of his life in as creative of a way as he can.

“I use more of a futuristic tone to my music,” he said. ‘Sometimes it’s too far in the future for people to like. It’s a very progressive sound but at the end of the day, what I go for is something that sounds good. I’m gonna rap about a lot of different things – depression or being a player or just everyday things that happen in life. But ultimately, I’m trying to do something that sounds good and is enjoyable to people.”

BiNG first started writing music in the 90s and spent much of that decade developing his unique sound and style. He was inspired by the legendary crew Public Enemy, and has always been enamored by the hype energy of Flava Flave. He also studied greats like Tupac and Biggie, and found his own brand of swag by trying to emulate the swag of Biggie Smalls. One of the singles on his new album, “Raise Up,” is an homage to Biggie and even samples some of his style at certain points throughout the song.

“I came up dreaming of being a one-hit wonder, and there is power in that when you own the rights,” BiNG said. “I’m 41 now and I’ve decided to take my music more public because I’m getting ‘Do it’ and ‘Oh, it’s good comments from Rap lovers who hear my stuff. I’m in it for the pussy and the money. I have a love for black women. I’m a mad man who started out in a mad clan after solo writings, and I’m a one-man clan now. I’m loud and in your face and flipping and have more wordplay than you know what to do with.”

BPSOCA Music Teams Up With UK Songwriters and Artists to Release Caribbean Music for the UK market

London, England, August 21, 2020: BPSOCA Music, a new UK record label that works to elevate the Caribbean culture within the UK music industry, including Soca, Dancehall, and Reggaeton genres, this week announced they are partnering with UK producers, artists, and songwriters for upcoming releases.

BPSOCA Music recognize that street carnivals, such as Notting Hill Carnival, are the spotlight for Caribbean music and as such, they aim for their music artists to release music in time for the popular carnivals worldwide. BPSOCA Music is working hard to make a name for Caribbean culture in England today.

“For far too long, the music scene in England has been a homogenous collection of rock and pop hits that just don’t do anything for the Caribbean community,” said Gareth Sinnerine, Founder and Owner of BPSOCA Music. “Those of us here with Caribbean and African heritage deserve to have our music elevated and accessible for our communities. That’s what inspired us to partner with these musicians.”

With approximately 264,125 Caribbean-born citizens living in England and Wales, as well as 2,542 living in Scotland and 314 living in North Ireland, the Caribbean community has become increasingly influential in British society. Additionally, in a 2011 census, about 1.9 million people, or 3% of the UK population, said they identify as black/Caribbean/Afro-Caribbean.

“We are witnessing a worldwide movement that is shedding light on the need for inclusion and diversity in all aspects of society today,” said Sinnerine. “We believe that through our record label, we can make Caribbean culture a staple in the UK music industry moving forward. Caribbean music has been influencing the hits and singles we consume today for decades.”

Sinnerine also has an events company called BPSOCA Entertainment that showcases UK and International talent that will work in conjunction with BPSOCA Music.

The BPSOCA Music platform will officially launch this Friday August 20th for users everywhere. They are asking all Caribbean music producers and industry participants to contact them for continued musical development and releases.

About BPSOCA Music

BPSOCA Music is a subsidiary of Bacchanal Promotions Limited, with a focus on Caribbean artists, producers, and songwriters in the UK. The platform is on a mission to make Caribbean culture a “staple in the UK music industry moving forward”. More than just a musical engine, BPSOCA Music Limited is hoping to inspire a countrywide movement that sheds light on the important contributions of the British-Afro-Caribbean community.

2b Acting release their hard-hitting interactive video ‘NO: The Line’, painting a disturbing picture of a virus-controlled future

Yorkshire based digital media and theatre company 2b Acting, has released yet another hard-hitting NO interactive video, ‘The Line’. A disturbing dystopian future where citizens are heavily controlled to maintain self-isolation.

The sudden societal changes introduced in response to controlling the COVID-19 virus, such as social distancing, wearing of masks, lockdowns, virus tracking apps, etc. serve as the backdrop to 2b Acting’s latest episode in the ‘NO series’ of interactive videos.

Their ‘NO series’ raise subjects that have an impact on society and where a question can be asked that should have the answer NO, yet this is not the case. For example, “Is it right that 3 million children die from hunger in this world every year?” NO! But it keeps happening.

In ‘NO: The Line, the question asked is, “Is it right to brainwash a population?” To answer this, the viewer takes the role of a controller, an employee, asked to utilise known control techniques to keep Angela (played by Anastasia Ampatzoglou) from crossing a self-isolation demarcation point – The Line. This is represented as a marked border that Angela has been conditioned never to cross, to stay safe.

Whilst the story presents a future that may never happen it does highlight the possible abuse of control techniques currently being employed and the subsequent trade between our humanity and our safety because of it.

“In this interactive video, the viewer controls the unfolding story. Each decision has consequences for Angela and in this way, the viewer gains a better understanding as to why answering NO to the question is not as straight forward as it first appears”, says 2b Acting. “This is an interesting way to tell this powerful story, which is great for us, as we want our art to lead towards truths that encourage betterment.”

Interactive videos do allow for new ways to tell stories and those who watch will find this medium more engaging and meaningful than other forms of storytelling. The interactive video is available for viewing by Enhanced Mode users on 2b Acting’s InView platform.

Survey shows more Britons accessing equity release in wake of pandemic

https://www.prfire.com/

LONDON, UK; 25 June 2020 – A recent survey conducted by equitymortgagerelease.co.uk and the UK Care Guide showed that more Britons have been looking into equity release options as a way to cope with the current global pandemic.

A total of 984 respondents took the survey online on the UK Care Guide website between 1 and 31 May 2020, with a view to understand what attitudes were to equity release, particularly in light of the current coronavirus pandemic.

William Jackson of UK Care Guide said of the survey, “Over the past few months, we have seen an increase in traffic to our website for people looking to access equity release. We wondered whether this may be because of financial issues that that people may be facing due to the pandemic. We ran a survey and were interested to see that there was a direct correlation between the pandemic and the need for cash.”

Equity release is often accessed by people to help fund their retirement or pay for their care. However, it is interesting to see that 20% of people are now accessing the money to help others financially, which is likely to be a direct result of the impact coronavirus has had on families.

According to the survey, 26% of people looking to access equity release are doing so because either they or their family is no longer in active employment due to the coronavirus; and 54% said they would give some of the money to others – perhaps demonstrating that people are looking to access the value in their homes to share it with others who may be struggling.

James Lloyd at Equity Mortgage Release said, “The recent pandemic has shown that people are still looking to access the cash in their home. Interestingly, 20% of the people that responded said they were having to access cash to help support others. This is a much higher number than we typically see. This is supported by the fact that 54% will also share some of the money with their family, mainly kids and grandkids. This shows us that people are looking to access the value of money in their home to support family members who may have lost jobs or are suffering from reduced income due to the pandemic.”

When asked how they will find an adviser to help them find the best equity release scheme, respondents overwhelmingly recognised the need for help, but more than half said they would start the process using an internet search engine.

Following that, people said they would be seeking advice before going ahead with 58% opting to speak to an equity release specialist who can help ensure that they are choosing the right deal for them.

New release sets the path for the future of visitor management

On Thursday 23rd April, one of the world’s fastest-growing visitor management apps, Sign In App, made their biggest step forward to date as they launched version 4 of their iPad-based app.

Backstory
Work on (what would become) version 4 started at the end of 2018 when the team spent a few days of their holiday break reimagining how Sign In App could look as they moved into 2019 and beyond. As the year progressed, the scope grew; incorporating more and more ambitious ideas. By the summer of 2019 it was clear that a whole new app was needed and following six months of development and three months of testing, the Sign In App team were finally ready to release version 4 into the hands of their community.

Continual evolution of the product and platform is part of Sign In App’s DNA. If you’re a Sign In App subscriber or have followed them for a while, that won’t surprise you as you’ll have seen the fruits of the team’s labours each and every month. They look at where workplaces are heading and build useful features, releasing them at no additional cost to benefit the Sign In App community.

While no-one could’ve predicted the challenges we’re all facing today, the team are glad to hear that so many of you are using Sign In App to adapt; whether that’s switching to remote working with confidence, building detailed health questionnaires for contractors and staff or producing daily rundowns of key workers still signing in to the site.

Sign In App understands that visitor management might not be at the top of everyone’s agendas as they release version 4. But just like remote sign ins, each new feature gives subscribers more ways to customise the product, adapting it to suit their needs at the time. With that in mind here’s a quick overview of version 4 and why Sign In App feel it’s their biggest step forward to date.

Supporting new features
The team behind Sign In App are ambitious, talented and imaginative. Their roadmap is packed with ideas that they can’t wait to release and share with their community. Because the product evolves so quickly, it’s already radically different from the version 3 which released at the start of 2018. Back then, they were introducing GDPR features and visitor groups for the first time. In the months since, Sign In App has added events, companion app, Sign In App Tap, personal fields and many more.

By building a new app with version 4, it gives Sign In App the opportunity to take everything they’ve learned from a period of rapid growth and optimise the app, streamlining the code to create a new platform to support future projects. With a clear roadmap ahead, version 4 is ready for many new features to come. At launch, Sign In App is introducing video messages, message documents, video welcome screens, new evacuation reports, support for multiple sites and lots more. To read about 20 changes coming in version 4, click here.

More ways to customise
The Sign In App team has always been passionate about trying to provide the best sign in experience in the market. They do this by having a wide range of customisation options, a stable, secure platform and the simple sign in process that’s become their trademark. They’ve been amazed by the ingenious ways people use Sign In App, from signing out keys to signing in dogs, they’re constantly impressed by how their community uses the customisation options available to them.

As Sign In App continues to grow, customisation will remain at its heart with even more options to customise the sign in experience for your staff, contractors and guests. The new sign in experience in v4 adds an optional ‘light mode’ theme and support for videos throughout the application to give you more ways to stand out, promote your brand and share important site information.

Improved accessibility
The team is proud of the feedback they get around Sign In App’s usability and intuitiveness. That applies across the board from the online portal, to the companion app for smartphones and of course the iPad app for receptions. Many people who sign in to site via the iPad are using the product for the first time, so it’s critically important that the experience there is simple and self-explanatory.

It’s equally important that the app itself is accessible, allowing guests of all ages and levels of technical experience to sign in unaided. It’s one of the main reasons the Sign In App team chose a touchscreen (iPad, for its familiarity at home) and suggest using landscape orientation (for the largest onscreen keyboard). This has helped Sign In App become popular in sectors such as care homes and charities where the user base is wide and varied.

Never content to rest on their laurels, the team want to do more to ensure Sign In App is the most accessible visitor management solution in the market. Version 4 introduces improvements across the board with larger and heavier fonts, clearer buttons and audio feedback such as button sounds and spoken messages. The optional new sign in experience takes this even further with larger custom fields and more accessibility options including button and font sizing.

Sign In App continues to work with their clients who regularly sign in visually impaired guests to ensure the changes they’re bringing are helpful and encourage feedback from their community around any accessibility issues they’d like to address.

Version 4 of the iPad app is a leap forward in accessibility and usability, with more customisation options than ever and an interface that’s still simple to use. The team at Sign In App are looking forward to getting it in your hands and remember, version 4 and all the new features are included at no extra cost as part of your Sign In App subscription.

If you have any questions about Sign In App, send them an email at support@signinapp.com or start a live chat online at signinapp.com and the team will be happy to help.

BAG Will Release Easter Day, Recorded Live At CBGB In NYC On Friday April 10th

DREXEL HILL, PA: BAG, the zany, vaudevillian rock group from the 80’s, will release their demented holiday song, Easter Day, on Friday April 10, 2020. It’s a live recording from their 1990 performance at the legendary club, CBGB, in New York City.

Lead singer and performer Marc A. Gallo, along with members Patrick Callen on bass and Scott Grande on drums and percussion, tells the tale of the harrowing discovery as a child that the myth of the elusive Easter egg was just that, a myth.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0AhJsTLjqm8?feature=oembed

Easter Day is perhaps one of BAG’s most iconic songs and performances. Gallo, wearing an elaborate Easter egg helmet, theatrically immerses himself in this satirical tale as if it happened yesterday. The dramatic yet sad scene of him confronting his Mother about this myth is particularly comical.

Gallo confides, “Look, as a young boy, abandoning the quest for the elusive Easter egg was quite devastating, especially when my Mother told me to stop. And as you can see, I’m still not over it.”

BAG, founded in Philadelphia, PA in 1985, incorporated costumes, props, video and satire into their live musical performances. They performed at popular venues like The Painted Bride and Chestnut Cabaret in Philadelphia, plus CBGB and Kenny’s Castaway in New York City. The Philly Inquirer featured BAG numerous times during the 1980s.

In 1989, BAG produced their EP titled “Happy Family”, published by Great Egg Music. It featured an eight-piece band including a horn section. It’s available at Bandcamp.

BAG can be heard on Spotify, Apple Music and other music streaming services. Easter Day (Live) was mastered in January 2020 and will be available for purchase on iTunes/Apple Music, effective Friday April 10, 2020.
