Online Retailer CKB Ltd Celebrates Living Wage Commitment
The Living Wage Foundation is pleased to announce that CKB Ltd, www.ckbltd.com, has accredited as a Living Wage employer.
Their Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at CKB Ltd, regardless of whether they are direct employees or third-party contracted staff; receive a minimum hourly wage of £8.45 in the UK. This rate is significantly higher than the statutory minimum for over 25s of £7.50 per hour introduced in April 2017.
The real Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the real costs of living.

“We have been operating by the Living Wage Foundation’s principles for some time as they make sound business sense. As we gear up for the busy Christmas period, we are pleased to offer our fixed term contract staff the Living Wage. We are delighted to have now been officially recognised via our formal accreditation as a small business, which follows the Foundation’s guidelines.”
Employers choose to pay the real Living Wage on a voluntary basis. The Living Wage enjoys cross-party political support.
