Solidatus launches office in Singapore and appoints Director of APAC

Singapore

London, UK – 27 February 2019 – Solidatus, the leading data lineage and business relationship mapping solution, is pleased to announce the opening of its newest office in Singapore servicing APAC, a market which has already begun to demonstrate a tremendous amount of traction and growth potential. This represents its commitment to this most dynamic of regions and the opportunities available there.

The expansion comes off the back of two successful trade missions to Asia in 2018, both of which were at the invitation of the UK Department of International Trade (DIT). Solidatus was identified as one of the top new FinTech’s to represent the UK during Hong Kong FinTech Week 2018 and Singapore FinTech Festival 2018. Upon completion of these missions, and based on existing relationships, Solidatus confirmed that it would open an office to better serve regional clients and expand its footprint throughout South East Asia and China.

“The decision to expand our presence in APAC was a logical step in our business growth strategy,” said Philip Miller, Solidatus Co-Founder. “We see great opportunities in the Asia-Pacific market. It is a very dynamic region, holding enormous potential and we look forward to helping local, data-rich, businesses of all sizes optimise their governance, system transformation and regulatory reporting needs.”

Solidatus is also pleased to announce that John Berven has joined as the newly appointed Director of APAC. John brings extensive experience within the region. He spent 18 years at State Street Global Markets, the sales, trading and research arm of State Street Corporation, where he managed foreign exchange sales team, which covered institutional investors in Hong Kong and Singapore for five years. Prior to this he managed foreign exchange sales to clients in Scandinavia and Germany, also covering clients in the Netherlands and Middle East.

John Berven commented, “I am delighted that as the first employee outside of the UK we have chosen Asia Pacific as our first new area of focus. The potential to grow and help local businesses of all sizes to optimise their governance, transformation and reporting needs is a very exciting one. I believe this commitment reflects the dynamism of the region, the people and companies here and will offer us the chance to grow together.”
