‘Made in Lancashire, Sold to the World’ to inspire international expansion for local businesses

A networking event which aims to inspire and encourage businesses of all sizes to expand into international trade and exporting, hosted by the Department for Business and Trade in partnership with the Lancashire Chambers of Commerce, ‘Made in Lancashire, Sold to the World’.

The event welcomes small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), business support organisations and local authorities to explore exporting opportunities and accelerate their growth in international markets.

Held at Samlesbury Hall on March 28th, it will feature panel discussions facilitated by Richard Slater of Lancashire Business View which bring together inspirational exporters, industry experts, and country specialists to offer insight into trading with international markets. The discussions will be centered around inspiration, confidence building, international opportunities, and getting goods to market.

Lynne Gillen, the Export Relationships Manager for Lancashire explains:
“International Trade is of vital importance to the future prosperity of the county and this requires us to build a community of like minded companies. A collaborative approach is necessary to ensure the right support is in place for companies to place exporting at the heart of their growth strategy.

“Together with a host of influential speakers, it is a privilege to welcome Richlove Mensah, Director for Exports in Europe and Regional Director for Trade and Investment, Central Europe for the Department for Business and Trade. Mensah, will provide attendees with insights into international opportunities across Europe.”

A networking event follows the panel discussions, giving attendees the chance to meet with the speakers and other attendees to exchange knowledge and build connections.
