Nigus International and AXISCADES Advance Partnership to Establish Nigeria’s First World-Class Aviation MRO and Training Hub
Nigus International and AXISCADES Technologies Limited have strengthened their strategic alliance to develop a world-class Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility designed to transform Nigeria’s aviation landscape. The initiative aims to increase commercial fleet efficiency, support defence capability, and significantly reduce offshore dependency for aircraft maintenance.
The proposed MRO ecosystem will integrate AXISCADES’ global aerospace engineering expertise with Nigus International’s operational presence throughout Nigeria and across key African markets. The facility will focus on reducing costs, improving turnaround times, increasing fleet readiness, and fostering technical capacity development for both civil and military aviation sectors.
Beyond traditional MRO activity, the collaboration will include advanced aviation simulation systems, providing modern training solutions for aircraft used by the Nigerian Armed Forces, including both Western and Eastern models. Additionally, the project will support local drone design and manufacturing, leveraging Nigus International’s approved government licensing to produce unmanned systems domestically for surveillance, defence and industrial use.
Both companies will use their shared presence in the United Arab Emirates as the administrative and coordination centre for the initiative, enabling efficient engagement with global OEMs and streamlined governance for delivery.
