NavLive and BW collaborate to deliver full site plans within hours, cutting emissions and minimising delays
BW: Workplace Experts, one of the UK’s foremost fit-out and refurbishment contractors and design-and-build consultancies, has entered into partnership with NavLive, the leading provider of AI-powered 3D scanning technology for the construction sector, to speed up planning and project delivery across its expanding portfolio in London and beyond.
BW has already put NavLive to use on a variety of schemes across London and Europe, ranging from heritage refurbishments to contemporary workplaces. By adopting this technology, BW is equipping its teams with faster and more dependable site data while boosting its competitiveness for prestigious contracts.
On a recent Mayfair project, BW employed NavLive to survey a multi-storey commercial property. The walkthrough was completed in less than 15 minutes, generating a 3D point cloud and elevation views. This enabled architects to produce a full Revit model in just two hours—representing only 20% of the time usually required for a conventional survey.
Looking forward, BW and NavLive are assessing how the technology could be combined with robotics and automation, including robotic dogs and emerging humanoid systems. These innovations could open new possibilities for gathering and applying building data, reducing the need for repeat site visits and manual measurement.
Together, these advances signal a future in which projects can be delivered with greater efficiency and sustainability, cutting delays and lowering emissions.
Tomas Hollingsworth, Director of Technology at BW, said: “At BW we want to be at the front of adopting technology that genuinely helps us and our clients. NavLive fits that perfectly. It gives us the accuracy we need without slowing projects down. NavLive’s platform has quickly become an essential part of our digital toolkit, allowing us to survey sites faster, with greater confidence in the data. It’s a game-changer not just for today’s projects but for the way we’ll deliver fit-outs in the future.”
Chris Davison, CEO of NavLive, added: “We built NavLive to make reliable building data available instantly, and seeing companies like BW put it to work across major projects shows that it’s doing exactly that. Their use of the technology is proof of how the industry can move faster and with more confidence when the right tools are in place.”
Renowned for high-quality outcomes, BW’s technology-driven approach ensures projects are consistently delivered to meet client expectations on speed, precision, and sustainability. By incorporating NavLive, BW is strengthening its position as one of the UK’s most forward-thinking fit-out and refurbishment companies.
