Local Businesses Unite to Support Hedge End Food Centre

26/06/2020 Purbani of Botley, and Hamble based Global Protection Supplies (better known as GPS) worked together to donate a large quantity of delicious fresh curries to support the Hedge End Food Centre.

Director of GPS approached the Purbani restaurant to offer support after observing a string of charitable gestures carried out by the restaurant, including deliveries of fresh meals to frontline workers at local hospitals.

“It has been an absolute privilege to be able to provide some well-earned respite to our heroic frontline workers and families facing financial hardship in these tragic times.” Commented Imran of Purbani Botley.

GPS decided to fund a donation of fresh meals to be produced by the popular restaurant to help families struggling in this time of crisis, through the Hedge End Food Centre.  Purbani regular Steven Harris, a volunteer at the Hedge End Food Centre, kindly co-ordinated the operation.  He is excited to hear that future donations are already in discussion with other local businesses.

“After seeing such generosity from the team at Purbani, I knew I wanted to get involved.  They have been outstanding throughout this challenging period, and I feel fortunate to be in the position to work with them to give something back to our local community.” Explained Lloyd Russell, Managing Director of Global Protection Supplies ltd.
