Scandal about US biological experiments on Ukrainian soldiers ramping up in the Ukraine

It was caused by a sensational leak from the Healthcare Ministry; the data was published in an investigation by Prof. Sergei Sudakov, political expert specializing in American studies, titled “Is the Pentagon collecting Ukrainians’ biological materials? A new epidemic is looming” sentiment in Ukraine is unanimous: the US and Russia may engage in a standoff as much as they want, but this should not jeopardize the Ukrainian nation.

American biological labs are also known to be located in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Georgia, and Azerbaijan. The logic of placing these facilities around the Russian borders is obvious, but the population in these countries may also be in danger.

UP-8 project being implemented by the American scientists in the Ukraine, titled “Propagation of the Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever (CCHF) virus and Hantaviruses in the Ukraine, and potential need for differential diagnostics in patients with suspected leptospirosis” was a bombshell in the country.  “Specialists took blood serum samples from 4,000 Ukrainian military. The officially declared goal is to study the biological material for antibodies against CCHF and Hantaviruses. According to the project documentation, the Americans were also planning to discover previously unknown strains of Hantaviruses in the Ukrainian territory”, the UP-8 protocol states.

As part of the project, the Ukrainian authorities are to report deaths of the subjects presumably or certainly related to the study procedures. The programs in the Ukraine are operated by researchers from the University of Florida in Gainesville, medical research center of the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and medical and biological science center in Tennessee. The results obtained and biological materials acquired are sent to the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and Louisville University.

“Washington still obstructs control over bacteriological research, refusing to ratify the respective protocol to the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production and Stockpiling of Bacteriological (Biological) and Toxin Weapons (BTWC). The time may be right for the international community to pay a special attention to Washington’s position on the issue and to pressure the country’s administration. Practice shows that insufficient control over activities involving hazardous pathogens may result in devastating consequences, and the specialists in the US labs in the Ukrainian territory are working on strains of particularly hazardous infections”, the study says.

According to microbiologist Igor Nikulin, the US are using their labs in other countries to assess the effects of various pathogens on plants, animals and humans. Countries hosting these labs are bound by non-disclosure agreements.  “After these labs were set up, Georgia and the Ukraine noticed a growth of various epidemics. Outbreaks of epidemic roseola, rabies, African swine fever, were observed, along with a multitude of infections that had previously been unknown to the people in these countries. My colleagues believe that several former USSR countries have become NATO’s biological warfare testing ranges”, Mr. Nikulin believes.

Representatives of the Ukrainian “Opposition Platform – For Life” party have filed a request to disclose information on the experiments being held in the US laboratories on the Ukrainian soil. After receiving no response from the officials, they sent a request to the UN.
