CBD Gets Boost With Vitality Food Safety Submission

With more and more CBD companies on the market, it has become harder to separate the quality brands from those that are simply looking to benefit from a surge in demand.

Hence why Vitality CBD‘s Novel Food Application to the Food Standards Authority is viewed as a massive step forward for regulation within the industry. The brand, which is already renowned as one of the most credible CBD companies on the market, will now see its range subject to further regulations by the FSA.

Phillip Glyn, the Commercial Director of Vitality CBD, spoke about why the company made this move and how it will be important to their future.

He said: “It is important for our trade customers and consumers alike, to know that Vitality CBD, together with our raw ingredient provider, are one of the first in the UK CBD industry to submit a Novel Food dossier, and are therefore leading the way in future compliance and regulation.”

FSA CEO, Emily Miles previously stated that this is an industry that needs to be more transparent going forward.

She said: “The CBD industry must provide more information about the safety and contents of these products to the regulator… or the products will be taken off the shelves”.

Vitality CBD’s support this ethos, with a statement from the company reading: “Vitality CBD is ahead of the curve, already offering consumers the option to view the independent lab results of each batch of CBD contained in every product they retail… so these latest regulations are more likely to affirm Vitality’s already strong market position, rather than unsettle it.”

The Birmingham based organisation has recently expanded its operations in the Midlands, now employing over 30 individuals.
