LONDON, ENGLAND – Digital transformation consultants Generation Digital have been reaching out to British SME’s thanks to last week’s budget announcement. During the Chancellors budget, the UK Government launched its Help to Grow: Digital scheme, which will come into force this Summer.

Help to Grow: Digital helps small and medium-sized businesses across the UK learn new digital skills, reach new customers and boost their profits.

Small businesses will get free impartial advice on how technology can boost their performance, and eligible companies will be able to get a discount of up to 50% on approved software costs, worth up to a value of £5,000.

As a leading digital transformation consultancy, Generation Digital helps to evolve organisations into secure, efficient, and human-focused businesses of the future and can include Bupa, EY, NHS, Royal Mail and Arrow Global among its growing client list.

Generation Digital Managing Director Graham Mackay was encouraged by the government announcement and what it means for businesses looking to bounce back from the pandemic’s effects.

Graham said, “This is fantastic news for British SME’s and provides an excellent opportunity for companies to engage with specialists like ourselves, save time, get advice on the platforms available and start bringing their digital transformation plans forward.

“We have decades of experience with digital technology and have watched closely as the costs of transformation have become more affordable, and the market for enterprise solutions and productivity-enhancing software has started booming.”

Graham added the following advice to companies looking to take advantage of the Help to Grow programme; “Businesses need to consider three key things for digital success: collaboration between employees, cybersecurity, and a platform that can help manage workload. With those three things in place, organisations can pivot quickly, stay connected, work more efficiently and most importantly, protect themselves from online threats.”
