Free to sign up, ClickaSnap now has an impressive 3.4million registered users and growing! With its success, Tom, who owns 80% of the business, has decided to step further into the photography world, developing a creation hub for photographers, videographers and more to use, free of charge.

Introducing Dorset to film Photography

Transforming what was once a derelict building in the Dorset market town, with some much needed renovations, the building which currently acts as ClickASnap’s HQ, offers facilities including a state-of-the-art photography studio and a dark room for avid photographers to visit and enjoy.

To use the new photography facilities in Wimborne, photographers from across the nation simply have to bring their films into the studio and choose from a number of techniques to develop these. The facility houses a number of high-quality tech to help you out, such as the Jobo CPP3E film processor and a Noritsu HS1800 film scanner.

There is plenty of equipment on-site to try out and use so even if you don’t have a film camera, the team can get you set up and snapping away with a huge selection of 35mm and 120mm film in no time.

With hopes to expand the facility in the future, this is just the beginning for Tom’s step from online photo sharing into offline photography development. What’s more, he hopes this will quickly become a great space for photographers to share their creations, discuss trends, and get to know other avid photographers. Taking online photo sharing communities and emulating this in the real world.

In addition to this great facility, ClickASnap is also very pleased to announce that they have just invested a further £30,000 into state of the art automated film scanning and developing systems that  will offer the free development of film (C41) and prints for the first 100 films they receive every week to the offices in Wimborne.

The team say, “We will develop the negatives, scan, and if you would like, a full set of 6 x 4 prints can be sent out at the cost of postage. Our systems enable us to turn around a film in less than 1 hour if you are local to us.” This is a great opportunity for aspiring film photographers to develop their film and build a portfolio of content.

Photographers of all levels are welcome

You don’t have to be a professional to make a visit to the new studio, it has simply been created to encourage the use of local venues for people to share and develop their love of photography, amateurs to professionals and anyone in between. If you have never used a darkroom before, the team at ClickASnap HQ will be more than happy to walk you through each stage of the film development process, introducing you to various techniques along the way.

Since the darkroom and the studio is completely free to use, Tom and the team simply ask that users spread the word, helping to reach all types of audiences and introducing them to the joys of film photography. Based in Wimborne, Dorset, UK, whether you are local or not, book a day in the darkroom by emailing [email protected] today.
