CANADIAN CHINESE ENTREPRENEUR AND PHILANTHROPIST, RECOGNIZED FOR HIS CONTRIBUTIONS BY DRUCKER BASED CA GRADUATE SCHOOL.

Alhambra, CA: Mr. Minglo Shao, an entrepreneur who is known for his philanthropy and development of advanced education, is now officially Doctor Minglo Shao. It is because of Dr. Shao’s contributions and passion for developing a functioning society, in addition to his business acumen, that Shao was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by California Institute of Advanced Management (CiAM) during Commencement on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019.

Jennie Ta, CiAM President and CEO, said: “It is an honor and privilege to have Dr. Shao guide and support CiAM throughout the years. CiAM would not be where it is today without Dr. Shao’s unwavering dedication to education and improving society. I am humbled and honored to be able to offer this recognition to Dr. Shao, who has made such a lasting impact for so many people around the world.”

Dr. Shao, a member of the CiAM Board of Trustees, is the founder and Chairman of Bright China Group, with investment in US, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Australia and China. Under his leadership, Bright China Group has provided employment to approximately 10,000 laid-off workers in more than 20 cities in China. Donations have also been made in rural countryside to build and operate schools, providing educational opportunities to few thousands of students from poverty-stricken farming families in the region.

Through Bright China Group, Dr. Shao also heads the Peter F. Drucker Academy, a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to researching and teaching Drucker’s management principles. The Peter F. Drucker Academy teaches in 32 cities in China and Hong Kong and has more than 50,000 graduates.

CiAM is one of the schools which benefitted from Dr. Shao’s generosity and educational expertise and for which he served as Chair of the Board of Trustees for nine years. Under Dr. Shao’s leadership as Board Chair, CiAM has developed many revolutionary innovations in higher education, for which a Harvard Professor once declared was “taking actions that all U.S. graduate schools should adopt”
