Students can order their leavers hoodies from home with a new online shop system

HoodieHut is a Sheffield-based company who’ve been creating personalised hoodies for over 10 years. They specialise in hoodies for UK schools, with their most notable service being end-of-year printed leavers hoodies.

The company has had a testing year due to the pandemic as David Cavill (Director) explains;

“During the past 12 months month we’ve had to review and reinvent many of our processes and offerings to align with Covid-19 safety guidance and best-practices. With the students being off school for long stretches, we decided to create online shops for each school leavers hoodie order. This meant that students and parents could simple order their hoodie from home and pay for it online. We also rolled out individual home delivery service instead of them all being delivered to the school. This was a big hit with the schools we work with and we’ve decided to make it a permanent offering going forward. We’ll continue to review what we do and look for other ways to make our products and services as accessible as possible.”

The benefits of a personalised online shop extend beyond the convenience of ordering from home. The shops take the burden of collecting orders and payments away from the teacher (or organiser) as HoodieHut collate orders within their database and then send the teacher a final summary for reference when the shop closes.

As children go back to school and are required to wear face coverings indoors, HoodieHut have been offering free face mask samples to their existing customers, each printed with the school’s logo. The masks are available to purchase in small or large quantities, depending on whether the school want a uniformed batch for the teaching staff or for the entire school to make use of.
