5,500 ToastPunk Genesis NFTs sell out in days as breakfast-themed brand unveils six-figure NFT prizes for the DYOR student competition

The remaining slices of the ToastPunk metaverse have been gobbled up by hungry users – with the brand now collaborating with major universities to launch the biggest ever DYOR competition in 2022 


The public sale for the remaining ToastPunk Genesis NFTs has officially ended after 5,500 NFT toast faces were devoured in a matter of days. 
Users from across the world flocked to get their hands on the scrambled trait art digital images – with 10,000 originally made available for the new installment of the ToastPunk metaverse (and 500 vaulted for partners and investors).  
ToastPunk founder Matthew Ng was inspired to create the NFT concept when his kids used food to make faces at breakfast time. This family fun ultimately led to the development of ToastPunk and the launch of 10 toast characters that formed ToastPunk Genesis.
Launched on the Ethereum (ETH) blockchain in February 2022, ToastPunk Genesis has already completely sold out – relying solely on organic growth and enjoying a floor price rise (with a target of 1 ETH). 
The brand has struck deals with 20 collaborative partners so far – along with over 100 universities and specialist schools around the world to host the biggest ever DYOR (Do Your Own Research) Student Competition. 
Applications for the competition are open to students in the Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM) art, design and commerce faculties. Over 600,000 students will be invited to participate – with 1,000 winners chosen and $400,000 in Airdrop prizes up for grabs – part of the 4,000 ToastPunk Genesis NFTs reserved for students. 
The competition – which involves watching a 5 minute video presentation and answering 30 questions – begins on Friday 11 March and ends on Wednesday 16 March, being hosted on the ToastPunk Genesis DYOR website in collaboration with the Swedish based Student Competitions dot com web giant.
More than $250,000 has already been handed out to NFT holders in giveaways since ToastPunk first launched, with the brand establishing a strong community of diamond holders.
ToastPunk is now officially verified on OpenSea and is one of the top five trending projects on the platform – having also earned blue tick accreditation on Twitter. 
Development is continuing on ToastPunk World – an AR P2E metaverse that can host pixel or 2D NFTs as 3D characters to earn passive TOA$T income in an amazing life-and-building simulation experience. ICO tokens – which will be used in-game – will drop in the second quarter of 2022.
