Inspiring and robot-filled technology classes launch in North East London

London, 11 October 2022: Award-winning technology education provider ComputerXplorers has launched in North East London. Local tech enthusiast, Joel Danquah will lead the first classes at Whybridge Junior School in Rainham whilst also offering after school clubs, PPA cover, weekend clubs, academies as well as school holiday programmes across the region.
Joel is aiming to unlock the potential of students, from pre-school through to secondary school, by offering inspirational technology classes using the latest technology, including app-building with AppShed as well as Minecraft and robotics.
Joel, who is also studying to be a security analyst, loves all things tech and wanted to setup his own business to ensure his passion for tech will be passed on to the next generation.
He said: “Growing up in Ghana and Italy I enjoyed school, attending extra lessons to learn maths but it was your classic school environment. I will be stepping outside the traditional classroom environment to teach something fun, and at the same time teaching foundational skills that will last a lifetime. I truly believe we need to start teaching key skills at a younger age to ensure children can reach their full potential.”
“To celebrate the launch, I’m pleased announce that the first three schools to sign-up for an introduction session will also get a free annual license to use the AppShed platform, which would normally cost up to £380 per year.”
Commenting on the appointment, Network Director Stuart Harley said, “Joel’s passion for technology and coding will fascinate the children he teaches – whether it’s 3D animation, coding or web design. By teaching these skills at a young age, we are preparing future generations for jobs we don’t even know exist yet. We already teach over 4,500 students in the UK and I’m delighted that we’ll be welcoming more students from North East London to enjoy everything we have to offer.”
Due to an abundance of initial interest, Joel will additionally be looking to recruit and train passionate people and ex-teachers that share his love for technology and the joy of passing this on to the children they work with.
