INNOVATIVE LUXURY BACON AND SAUCE COMPANY LAUNCHES IN DEVON

INNOVATIVE LUXURY BACON AND SAUCE COMPANY LAUNCHES IN DEVON

New Devon-based company offering hand-cured bacon and sauces with a kick to food lovers across the nation

Clyst St Mary, Devon, September 19, 2017– Today, Devon-based BAM Food Ltd launch their online luxury bacon and spicy sauce website: www.bamfood.co.uk.

Led by passionate foodies, Sarah Martin and Jon Doody, BAM’s range of high-end, hand-rubbed, air-dried and uniquely hot-smoked bacon is set to satisfy the taste buds of a nation increasingly turning away from mass produced, low welfare meat. With exciting bacon flavours, as well as a range of their own chilli-based sauces and flavoured pickled eggs, BAM’s owners are confident that they’ll take the UK by storm! Jon Doody, co-founder said:

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be bringing our top-quality bacon and our spicy sauces onto market. We’ve spent the last 2 years working hard to perfect our unique curing, air-drying and hot-smoking process, which takes up to three weeks, resulting in a much more flavoursome rasher that doesn’t shrink in the pan or ooze white stuff.”

Adding a twist to the range Jon explains:

“We’re particularly proud of our amazing ‘Duck Bacon’. It’s absolutely delicious and a real luxury! Our sauce range, consisting of a ketchup, brown sauce and mustard, all with a chilli kick and our awesome pickled eggs are real crowd pleasers too. We can’t wait to share our love and passion for our food to the people of Great Britain.”

The full range includes `chilli bacon, herb bacon, garlic bacon as well as their ‘naked’ smoked bacon. The people at BAM will show the nation that bacon can be used for all meals, not just for breakfast. The exciting new sauces as well as new bacon products on the horizon, including ‘beef bacon’ will ensure that BAM will continue to delight their fans.

Jon and Sarah’s love of all things ‘chilli’ brought them together just over two years ago at a ‘chilli cook-off’ competition in Wales which was being organised by Jon and at which Sarah and her husband Andy were competing. They soon discovered a shared passion for making great bacon and ‘the rest’, as they say, ‘is history’. Sarah has just completed her Masters in Business Administration from University of Kent, having left a 15 year teaching career. She also holds a PhD in Biochemistry. Jon recently left the IT industry after 18 years to concentrate on his dream job in the food industry.

“Now that’s proper PROPER bacon!” – Matt Tangent, Aussie hot sauces – online food blogger”.
