Demonic was born in Birmingham, England in the 1980s. His father is a video photographer, a trade he himself has joined,
and his grandfather was a teacher and published poet who had arrived from Panjab, India during the 1960s.

He grew up in Handsworth where his affair with hip hop music began, and started writing songs in his early teens. He collaborated with a local band, MOB Inc., in the late 90s and featured in songs with Highflyers, a popular bhangra music duo.

Demonic joined the urban music collective Resistant Regime in 2014.  Since then he has been working on his solo career.
