SWISSPEAK Resorts is set to become a main sponsor of GB Snowsport and skier Laurie Taylor

SION, SWITZERLAND 6th December 2022 – The apart-hotel chain SWISSPEAK Resorts has become a main sponsor of the British National Ski and Snowboard Team and will take under its wing the young and talented skier Laurie Taylor.
SWISSPEAK Resorts is proud to announce that it will become a headline sponsor of the British Alpine Skiing Team operating under the British National Governing Body, GB Snowsport. From December 2022, the SWISSPEAK Resorts brand will be visible on all the British team’s equipment. 
Mountain sports are in the DNA of SWISSPEAK Resorts, which is why it is important for them to support young athletes and federations. “We try to do everything possible to allow these athletes to live from their passion for the mountains, which we all share,” says Sébastien Travelletti, CEO of SWISSPEAK Resorts. 

In 2021, SWISSPEAK Resorts started a sponsorship with the Royal Belgian Ski Federation as well as with the young alpine skier and trailer Maximilien Drion.

In 2022, SWISSPEAK Resorts will continue to support alpine sports with GB Snowsport and slalom skier Laurie Taylor. 

Thanks to several athletes in the Alpine Skiing World Cup, the British Snowsport team has won over SWISSPEAK Resorts. A main sponsorship contract has been concluded from September 1st 2022 for a period of 3 years. The GB Snowsport team will carry the brand of SWISSPEAK Resorts and in particular the resort in Zinal, which is providing a training base for British athletes and acts as a potential future host of the GB Alpine Championships.

Laurie Taylor started skiing at the age of 6 and was noticed 4 years later by the British Ski Academy (BSA). Laurie’s hard work and investment finally paid off as he is now part of the British World Cup team alongside Dave Ryding. In 2018, for the first time, Laurie was part of the British delegation at the Pyeongchang Olympic Games. He won several European Cup podiums and scored his first World Cup points during the 2020/21 season
