Roy Jones vs YouTuber NDO Champ fight history

Jones Jr.’s résumé lists victories in the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight weight classes. After retiring, he took part in two fights, losing the most recent by majority decision against former UFC fighter Anthony Pettis in April. The first fight was a non-scored exhibition versus Mike Tyson in 2020. The 54-year-old, a nine-time world champion, is changing the landscape of celebrity boxing by announcing a fight with yet another internet sensation.

Wilmote is a well-known internet personality who has little to no prior boxing expertise. The 38-year-old is said to have sparred with Olympic bronze medalist Tony Jeffries and former welterweight champion Andre Berto. Born in Liberia, Wilmote also competed as a bodybuilder and placed second in the super heavyweight division of the 2019 Arnold Classic. He now has the opportunity to compete against a legendary boxer.

“DEPENDS HOW GOOD OF A PUNCH HE CAN TAKE. HE CAN’T TAKE GOOD PUNCH THEN HE GOES TO SLEEP. ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT HAPPENS. I DON’T KNOW, I’VE NEVER BEEN IN THE RING WITH HIM. I’VE NEVER SEEN HIM BOX. THERE’S NO FILM ON HIM. THAT’S WHAT MAKES IT SO DIFFERENT.

“YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT HE’S BRINGING. YOU DON’T KNOW IF HE’S GONNA BE A MIKE TYSON PUNCHER OR A GUY WITH A LOT OF MUSCLE THAT CAN’T PUNCH AT ALL.”

NDO Champ isn’t coming to lie down, however. He plans on giving Roy Jones Jr. the fight of his life.

“LISTEN, WE DON’T TRAIN TO LOSE. WE DON’T TRAIN TO COME IN THERE AND PLAY. IF THAT’S THE CASE, I’LL GO BACK DOIN’ SOMETHING ELSE, YOU FEEL ME. NO DISRESPECT, I SALUTE THE OG, BUT IT’S WARTIME.

“I’M NOT COMING IN THERE TO CONGRATULATE YOU ON ALL OUR SUCCESSES, NAH, YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE GOTTEN IN THIS RING WITH THIS MAN. YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE GOTTEN IN THE RING WITH ME. I’M A BORN STONE KILLER!”
