One of the two individuals, typically with slightly larger jackets, speaks more softly than the other. Words like “alignment,” “non-disparagement,” and “vested equity” are used practically interchangeably.

One of them may occasionally be recording. One of them is a journalist at times. Occasionally, one of them is going to forfeit stock options worth millions of dollars in order to publicly say something that their former company would rather they didn’t.
