Weight loss queen Jenny Craig has bought an oceanfront apartment at The Icon in Limassol, Cyprus

US weight loss guru Jenny Craig buys oceanfront apartment on Mediterranean island of Cyprus.

Located in cosmopolitan Limassol, the property at tower The Icon is set to cost approx. $1.5M.

Located just a short walk from the island’s coastline, the apartment is a 1,800-square-foot property. According to the Icon’s website, the tower will offer hotel-like services such as room-service, laundry, 24-hr reception & concierge, and will have priority access to the building’s restaurant on the 10th floor. Craig’s property boasts 3 bedrooms, three-and-a-half bathrooms, floor-to-ceiling windows, an open-plan living area, a galley-style kitchen and a terrace with open views.

The Icon has been code-named “The Tower of the Stars” by local media, as several international celebrities have, reportedly, purchased units there. According to market experts in Limassol, The Icon’s buyers include a certain Brazilian football star, a Russian-Jewish singer, a British lawyer, a Greek football-club owner and a ship magnate, a famous American hedge fund manager, Israel’s “King of Diamonds”, and now, America’s weight loss queen.

According to US real-estate portal therealdeal.com, Craig has recently sold her San Diego Mansion for over $20M.
David Barry of Barry Estates represented the buyer. The transaction for the property in Cyprus was completed in March 2020, pre-covid19.

Now 87 years old, Craig was born in Louisiana and launched her weight loss empire in 1983. The Jenny Craig company, which has over 700 branches across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, ships individual frozen meals to client. In the summer of 2002, Craig sold her namesake company to private equity investors for $115 million.
