$1.1bn Electric motorcycle giant set to charge UK market

Electric vehicle manufacturer SUNRA are launching UK sales via their approved dealer network, starting within greater London before quickly expanding nationwide.

Founded in 1999, SUNRA quickly established itself as a key player in the EV industry. Today the company is listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) with a value of $1.1bn.

The four cutting edge manufacturing sites currently produce over 4 million units per year and deliver them to 70+ countries worldwide.

With UK specification stock already in the country, SUNRA UK launch the brand with the stylish, 100% electric ROBO range which is experiencing very strong sales in Europe.

The familiar step-through design is packed with anything but familiar technology.

Conveniently removable lithium-ion batteries, full LED lighting, fingerprint keyless start, app connectivity, USB charger and a hugely practical 24 litres of under-seat storage are just some of the features to boast about.

Two variants are immediately available:
ROBO – A limited top speed of 28mph and a maximum range of 40 miles makes this the petrol 50cc equivalent; perfect for the 16+ consumer.

ROBO-S – Furnished with an additional lithium-ion battery in the floor, the big brother delivers a top speed of 50mph and a maximum range of 84 miles, without compromising on the class-leading storage space.

Both ROBO variants meet the strict requirements for the UK government’s ‘Plug-In Motorcycle Grant’, which means consumers can enjoy 20% off the RRP, a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty on all major components and a 3 year warranty on the lithium-ion battery/batteries.

Available in 2 colour options of striking gloss white or gloss black, the ROBO and ROBO-S are priced at just £2,499 and £3,299 respectively, including the 20% government grant discount.

Due to the extremely durable and simple electric drivetrain, the ROBO range is extremely energy and cost efficient. With zero emissions, zero road tax, zero congestion charge fees and a running cost per mile at just 15% of an equivalent petrol moped, the average city commuter can buy, run and maintain a SUNRA ROBO for less than an annual London Underground pass.

To celebrate the launch of these premium head-turners, Sunra UK are offering a further discount of £100 on all ROBO purchases at authorised dealers before January 31st 2021, while promotional stocks last.
