UK’s leading home services franchise launches £5,000 grant scheme for Covid-hit tradespeople

Fantastic Services, the UK’s leading home services franchise, has launched a drive to support London’s post-Covid economy by giving a grant of up to £5,000 to 200 small businesses.

The company, launched in London in 2009 by Rune Sovndahl and Anton Skarlatov, now has over 500 staff, a network of more than 530 franchisees and 50,000 monthly customers.

Fantastic Services, which specialises in cleaning, gardening, handyman, pest control, removals and other property services, has grown significantly during lockdown as the demand for property maintenance has boomed.

And now it has launched a programme offering a grant of up to £5,000, which would be put towards the cost of a new franchise with the company.

The programme is suitable for tradespeople or technicians with experience in the services

sector, or people who are looking to change industries or have been made redundant during the pandemic.

“Our grant programme is designed to help those who lost their job, self-employed

tradespeople, as well as small businesses within the service industry that were negatively

impacted by the pandemic. The grant covers most of the expenses for starting a working

franchise business with Fantastic Services,” said Anton Skarlatov, co-founder and CEO.

“Since the start of the pandemic, we have looked for ways to give back to the community,

offering free services to NHS and frontline workers. With the new grant programme, we are able to provide a viable alternative to employment through franchising and help anyone restart their career or business in a high-demand sector,” added Rune Sovndahl, co-founder and Board Chair.

To qualify for a grant, applicants must be eligible to work in the UK, fluent in English and have a driving licence.

Depending on their experience, successful applicants will be provided with further training, as well as equipment, vehicles, marketing and use of a custom-built CRM system.
