The auction includes twenty-one homes and is offering upwards of 40 vacations to generate funds for legal expenses in the current case against Fripp Island Resort’s ownership over various exclusivity claims.
Acting as spokespeople for Fripp Forward, LLC are Joan Barnes, Philip Berlinsky, Chris Cromer, Mark Rosenberg, and Steve Shanks. They argue that the exclusivity claimed by the resort affects every type of property on the island, a sentiment echoed by the resort’s lawyer who noted, “This is an island-wide issue,” impacting all property owners on Fripp Island.
