How a Nobody Can Become the Face of GQ

GQ is obviously one of the most popular male fashion magazines out there. After browsing a slew of their recent articles, I’ve learned a lot about personal style, and have found the motivation to rock suits again.

With GQ’s advice in tow, I’m so excited to share some tips and tricks I’ve used to stand out from the crowd—and it all starts with putting together a wardrobe that provides for any occasion!

I Started Wearing More Suits

I used to think that suits are dated, and there’s nothing worse than feeling like an old man when you’re only in your thirties. But after reading articles and watching a series of YouTube videos sponsored by GQ, I discovered the wherewithal to try something a bit more formal!

Normally, I wear suits to work, but they’re quite standard—nothing too expensive or fancy. Now, though, I have the insight to look not only my best, but also to look the best in the room!

The most liberating thing about suits is that they don’t require a special occasion. Throw on a pair of dark jeans and slip your feet into some loafers, and you have casual date attire; put on some slacks and dress shoes, and you can roll into work in style. Oh, the versatility!

My Attire Matches the Weather

It might seem counterintuitive to wear a suit during the blistering summer months, but there are certain fabrics that can make the difference between overheating and staying comfortable. When the weather is warm, try wearing lighter fabrics, like linen and cotton; during colder months, on the other hand, try out materials like tweed or wool, since they’re heavier and will keep your body heat within your outfit.

With this in mind, I’m not so deeply affected by the weather; I’m cool, calm, and collected in my suits, and as a result, I come off as comfortable and adaptable to other people!

I Spruced up My Closet with More Colors

Color choice is also quite important. In rainier weather, for example, it’s best to wear darker shades, as lighter hues can become discolored and see-through when wet.

In warmer weather, on the other hand, floral patterns and bright colors are king. A particularly influential proponent of this more vibrant style is Timothée Chalamet, who has been spotted wearing multiple different pink suits recently. He is also a fan of all-white, cream-colored, and strikingly all-black styles.

Whether you like it or not your color choices say a lot about your personality. If you’re more intense, try rocking a bright, dazzling suit; if you’re more thoughtful, try wearing a darker one.

Taking Things to the Next Level

Wearing incredible clothes only does so much, so I’m taking things to the next level with a facelift to look better in all regards.

As we age, gravity pulls on the skin until it is droopy, wrinkly, and full of blemishes. Some people are so deeply affected by aging, in fact, that they might not even want to look in a mirror!   I happen to be one of those types, so I’ve decided that cosmetic work is the best way to take care of my appearance. After all, what good is a game-changing wardrobe if I don’t have a handsome face to go along with it?

In any case, I can’t wait to approach everyone with a much firmer sense of self-confidence!

Now I’m the Face of GQ…

Well, not exactly—but after following the magazine’s advice and reworking my wardrobe, it’s safe to say that I’m on the right track.

If there’s anything I’ve learned, it’s that your style isn’t all about what you wear; it’s about how you present yourself holistically. Your hair should be well groomed, your eyebrows plucked, and your smile vibrant. You also need to be unique; there’s only one you out there, and nobody can replace the amazing person you are!
