The London Festival Helping Boost Exposure for Small London-Based Businesses
Over the duration of The London Festival®, the capital will be host to the Festival Marketplace; an area that will allow small, London-based businesses and independents to showcase their arts, crafts, and products to festival attendees – which will be over 500,000, spread out across the fortnight.
Whether individuals own a small business, exciting start-up, or innovative pop-up, all are eligible to apply for their space to present at the 150-stall marketplace at The London Festival®.
The Festival Marketplace is a unique opportunity that seeks to help small businesses get in front of a huge potential audience of customers. The event hopes that it will be able to provide business owners a much-needed boost to their sales after the pandemic, which saw many small businesses struggle. SMEs selling in the Festival Marketplace area will keep 100% of their proceeds.
While these businesses wait for the event, which is due to take place in 2023, stallholders will also be able to sell their products on the festival’s online store for the 3 months before the festival, and 6 months after the festival ends. Stallholders will also benefit from listing in the official festival guide, as well as feature in marketing and social media campaigns for increased exposure.
To apply for a stall, businesses need to register their interest online. They will then to be asked to a complete a form and give their final commitment to present at the festival towards the end of 2022.
The only requirements to present at the festival is that any business must be from the Greater London area and sell products that meet the festival’s ‘Made in London’ criteria – that at least 51% of each item sold be made in the capital. This is to continue the festival’s goal of being London-focussed and supportive of all the small businesses that are currently operating in the capital.
