With limited experience, and many orders to fulfill the operations team embraced the challenge, setting up a successful delivery operation to service customers in the South of England, with couriers still used for the North.  Historical process relied on the production and movement of paper tickets which, as order volumes increased, was often slow, unreliable and did not provide the level of real time visibility that the business required.

The PODFather system is now used to capture vehicle checks, track drivers, and collect real time electronic proof of delivery information.  All drivers have access to the PODFather smartphone app which allows transport teams to share delivery information and capture real time status information, giving head office more visibility than ever before.  For customers, the introduction of ETA notifications and live delivery tracking are a big plus, with customers loving the visibility that the new PODFather process gives them.
