Callie Rogers was just 16 when she won £1.9 million (about $3 million) in the UK’s lottery in 2003, and she was too young to know how to manage her money or where it would lead her, according to Gawker.

Rogers made quick work out of her fortune, despite briefly promising to manage it responsibly after she had broken her promise. According to British tabloids she spent millions on clothes, vacations, cars, breast implants, and (according the British tabloid) other things. The Sun) more than $300,000 on cocaine.

She also reported spending more than a quarter-million dollars on a house and a bungalow for her mother.

Rogers was eventually a mother of three and has stated on record that she is teaching them to be cautious with money.

She said to The Sun that she was glad her children will learn the value of money.

“I was too young not to win the lottery. It nearly broke my heart, but thankfully, I’m stronger than ever.”
