vLex Justis enhance UK dockets collection with daily updates

London, July 2020 – The UK dockets collection launched by vLex Justis in April has received a significant enhancement, with dockets from the High Court now being updated daily, bringing this information to researchers faster than was previously possible.

This update means that vLex Justis makes UK dockets from the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and High Court available on a single intelligent platform, all receiving daily updates to ensure that the latest information is available to anyone who needs it.

Alongside regular updates, High Court dockets on vLex Justis now date back to 2010, available alongside Supreme Court and Court of Appeal dockets from 2019 onwards. This means the service now contains over 200,000 UK dockets, enabling researchers to gain a more comprehensive understanding of previous matters.

UK dockets on vLex Justis are available for ongoing access, so researchers no longer need to pay per session, or work to timed access restrictions as they would be with traditional docket services. Larger organisations can also benefit from multiple user access to dramatically reduce the time it takes to search and retrieve documents by all team members.

Accessing this collection on vLex Justis will enable law firms, barristers’ chambers, due diligence professionals and corporate investigations firms to easily search, download, share and create email alerts for new dockets. Researchers will also benefit from access to UK dockets available alongside primary and secondary sources from over 130 jurisdictions, including the largest collection of UK superior court judgments and comprehensive as-enacted UK legislation.

Aidan Hawes, Head of Commercial Development, discussed the importance of this update:
“Our UK dockets service has been enthusiastically received since we initially launched it in April, solving many of the problems that researchers had in accessing dockets previously. We received feedback that offering more regular updates to High Court dockets would be beneficial, and thanks to the hard work of our team we have been able to offer that, making this resource even more valuable to any researcher who needs access to UK dockets”
