COVID-19 safety restrictions to remain across Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust sites

From today (27 January), COVID-19 restrictions in England have eased. However, Public Health England’s infection prevention control guidelines are set to remain in place for all patients, service users, visitors and staff.

That means NHS guidance will stay in place across all Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust sites to ensure patients and staff are protected due to an increase in cases across the county.

Patients, service users, visitors and staff will be required to continue to follow social distancing rules when visiting any care setting as well as using facemasks and other personal protection equipment.

Patients attending appointments will still be required to attend alone and hospital visiting restrictions remain in place, except in exceptional circumstances as detailed on the Trust website COVID-19 page.

Karen Bonner, Chief Nurse for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust said: “We are asking visitors and patients coming to our healthcare settings to continue to wear a facemask, follow social distancing guidance and use good hand hygiene. Please keep helping us so that we can help you and your loved ones.”
