Ex-Tesla owner creates free online resource for UK Tesla community

Tesla has had a significant amount of growth in the last few years in the UK. So much so, that the Tesla Model 3 has become the best-selling new vehicle for the month of April.

As semi-early adopters of Tesla in the UK, we decided to get our Model S in 2016. We had 3 incredible years with the car but as the family grew, we decided to sell it for a bigger and more comfortable family car.

We started trying to sell our car on Tesla forums, where people list vehicles or parts that they own and are looking to sell.

These forums were a clear miss, as they were littered with unorganized content. Even though our post received some interest, it was quickly overpassed by other people selling charging cables, and car covers.

We felt that our listing deserved more attention than it received, we were selling a fantastic car for a great price.

We were recommended by friends to post our car on an online marketplace called Autotrader but realized that it would cost us 40 pounds for a simple 2 week advert.

Our experience taught us that the Autotrader audience was more focused on finding petrol vehicles rather than electric cars.

Our paid Autotrader listing got very little interest, and after two weeks our listing had expired. We tried our luck uploading to other free online car websites but also were not successful.

Our frustrations with the sale of our Tesla pushed us to create the platform we needed, a free Tesla-only marketplace that is efficient and effective.

UsedTeslaWorld is the easiest way to sell your Tesla or parts in the UK. You can add your Tesla vehicle, or any parts completely free.

Seller listings are published directly to an audience of Tesla enthusiasts, people who care and understand the value in buying a Tesla. Any interested buyer can contact you privately, also for free.

We hope to continue helping the Tesla community by providing value with a resource that is free and continues to support a sustainable way of transportation.

You can find all the current used Teslas for sale here and any parts for sale here.

Tesmanian.com creates bespoke vehicle accessories for passionate Tesla-owners

Los Angeles, CA, USA; 7 December 2019 – Tesla delivered a record 97,000 vehicles during the third quarter of 2019 and the company’s smallest and most affordable model, the Model 3 was recently named Car of the year in the Parkers New Car Awards 2020 – the first electric car ever to be awarded this accolade.

These and other factors make it clear that Tesla is a brand on the rise and those who own and drive the cars daily, have become its most enthusiastic brand advocates. George Szeto is one such Tesla-owner. A long-time supporter of the company, George even invested in the company before finally purchasing his first vehicle in December 2018.

“I really admire Elon Musk’s ‘never say die’ spirit and have always been supportive of Musk and Tesla’s mission,” says George, “From the launch of first Model S I was intrigued and decided to become a Tesla shareholder. Later, I became even more fascinated with SpaceX and finally, I was ready to buy my first vehicle and decided on the Model 3. It’s a fantastic car and one that I regularly recommend to all my friends and family.”

After taking delivery of his new Model 3, George took his brand passion to the next level when he decided to start manufacturing Tesla accessories for other Tesla-owners.

“I started having road trips with my family in my Tesla and found that I wanted a soft cooler that would fit the car perfectly and blend with its aesthetic, but there was no company on the market making anything like it. I saw a gap and decided create something custom.”

It started out as a fun project, but once George’s unique and stylish Tesla cooler was made, he decided that he wanted to share his creation with other passionate Tesla-owners.

Before long, George had set up tesmanian.com and branched out into other accessories including floor and trunk mats. George’s 22 years working in the auto parts industry meant he was well-positioned to develop the products and get them produced to high quality specification.

Tesmanian.com currently stocks accessories made to order for the Model 3 and Model X cars but will gradually develop more items based on demand and popularity of other Tesla vehicles.

As emissions regulations in cities become stricter and more people are choosing electric vehicles, Tesla looks set to continue its impressive growth and more enthusiastic Tesla-owners mean more exciting opportunities for Tesmanian.com to meet their vehicle accessory needs.

Merger Creates New Services Division for Tedaisy Insurance Group

Tedaisy Insurance Group and Intrinsia Insurance Group have merged under the umbrella of Tedaisy Insurance Group (Tedaisy), in a strategic all share deal to accelerate growth.

The merger unites four trading entities in which Tedaisy now holds 100% of the equity:

• Alpha Underwriting, an MGA specialising in travel, accident and health and pet insurance.
• Practice Cover, an insurance broker specialising in providing insurance solutions to medical professionals and surgeries.
• Intrinsia Brokers, trading as perfectpetinsurance.co.uk, selling online pet insurance.
• Intrinsia Claims, an in-house pet insurance claims specialist.

Paul Byrne, Group Chairman, CEO and majority shareholder, advises the group is set to manage over £25m of GWP in 2020, creating brokerage revenues in excess of £6.5m. “We have some amazing plans on how we are going to manage our insurance performance to reach our potential, and in my 20 years of being an entrepreneur in the insurance industry, this is without doubt, the most exciting project I’ve been involved with”, says Paul.

The groups, which previously had common shareholders, will pool resources and capital to develop the businesses, which includes establishing a shared group services division.

Finance, HR, compliance, IT, quality control and binder management performance are services that will be provided to all group companies by a centralised team, headed up by Donna Sweetman, who will be stepping down as the Managing Director of Alpha Underwriting to take on the new role.

As a result of Donna’s internal move to become Managing Director of Tedaisy’s Group Services, Tedaisy seeks to appoint an ambitious candidate to fill the MD position and drive Alpha forward. Paul Byrne will remain as Group Chairman and CEO. In the meantime, Donna and Paul will continue to oversee the Alpha business. Paul comments “We are always on the lookout for exciting people to join our existing talented workforce and Tedaisy is going to be a great place to be over the coming years.”

Donna Sweetman, MD of Tedaisy Group Services says, “I have enjoyed my time as MD of Alpha, but this new Group Services role was too exciting an opportunity for me to turn down! I will use my 25+ years of insurance experience to lead my team in providing excellent services to the group companies to give them the best possible chance of exceeding their goals. Together, as a team, we will all work to make sure the Group achieves and excels in everything we do.”

Natalie Surtees, MD of Intrinsia Brokers commented, “Our brand Perfect Pet is going from strength to strength, attracting circa 3,000 new customers every month. We are now in the process of hiring quality key staff in operations and marketing and IT, to make sure our infrastructure keeps pace with our growth. These new hires enable me to concentrate more on growing the business and developing new and exciting opportunities.”

Natasha Reynolds, MD of Practice Cover says, “I am the newest member of the senior management team, only having joined in December 2018. The growth, the plans and the excitement I have seen in this relatively short period has blown me away and I am so excited to be part of this journey. Bringing the group together enables me to concentrate more on the growth of my part of the business, knowing that our core services are being looked after centrally.”
